Rising prices of contractors!
With the rising of prices lately everything from fuel to the cost of living. Contractors are faced with a lot of headaches. Customers don’t understand that it cost money to run a business or they believe they deserve a great big deal. Currently I have done some really nice things for people by giving them a deal on bathroom renovations. Most people don’t seem to realize that we can’t give everybody a deal. In fact we are loosing money by doing it. A customer call me a couple of weeks ago about installing two garage doors for him. I don’t usually install other peoples doors but he had purchased them already and he could not take them back. Another company told him it would cost around $550.00 to install them so that’s the price I gave him. They called me back and change the date while I was on the way there. $20.00 in fuel latter and my time they where not there. Then they want to get it cheaper. $50.00 cheaper. and take the old doors to the dump. That costs me another $50.00. While at there house I installed the doors and told them I would pick them up in a couple of day’s. My truck had a problem with the brakes and these people were not understanding at all. They were in fact very rude with my answering machine. This is why I don’t like to give deals! I do people favors all the time but the problem is that people always try and get more in the end. Well I guess you can not blame them for that. Some good advice is, if a Quality home renovations contractor is trying to help you out, be nice understanding. You should always be there to great them with a smile, that goes a long way with me when I show up. If the contractor is late it is because you are not the only customer on his list for the day! Sometimes problems come up and there is nothing that the contractor can do but fix the problem first. Abba’s Service has a big name in the renovations field but there is one problem. I do all the work myself and there isn’t enough time to get to everybody. You probably saying hire a couple of people to help, but guess what? It is hard to find good help that will do things your way, I truly believe that I care about every customers house as if it where my own. That means I will give you my best every time. At Abba’s Service Done Right! First Time! Every Time! means exactly what it says! But you might have to wait. I took a fall a few weeks ago and it has put me way behind for the rest of the year.
